Canadian National GMD SD-40-2W Locomotive #5304

Built using an Athearn SD-40-2 and based on prototype photos. Details added are wide-nose Canadian-style cab, windshield wipers, cab sunshades, bell/horn bracket, dual front headlight, single rear headlight, lift rings, exhaust stack, brass dynamic brake and radiator fan housings, grab irons, handrails, brake stand near rear on right side, anticlimbers, ditch lights, MU cable connectors, MU hoses, coupler cut bars, snowplow, MV lenses in headlights and ditch lights, air tanks and piping, air filter, fuel fillers, fuel gauges. Steps changed to CN four-step style. Powered by Canon can motor with flywheels.

Cab front, sides and rear painted CN orange. Rest of model painted black, including cab front and rear window grommets and top of nose. Cab side window frames, windshield wipers and MU hose ends painted silver. Lettered with Accu-Cals decals. Dimensions: 9-1/2" L x 1-3/8" W x 2-1/4" H, weight: 15 oz. Only one model available.
