CP Rail 3-platform Double-Stack Container Car

At the time, CP Rail needed to move more 20' containers than existing double-stack container well cars could handle. This prompted CP to build a car that would suit their requirements and is the one-off car that the model is based on. The model is scratchbuilt form stryrene with Cal-Scale AB air brake equipment (with piping) and Ajax/brake wheels. Grab irons, steps and coupler cut bars are made of wire. Has Kadee couplers on end cars and drawbars used on inside. Custom painted and lettered with Herald King decals. The containers are a mix of Roco and Athearn models which are custom painted and lettered with Microscale, Herald King and some custom made decals. Built from a prototype photo.
