Milwaukee Road EMD SD-10 Locomotive #555
In the Milwaukee Road's SD-10 rebuild program, only one locomotive had a cab from EMD and was numbered #555. The model is built using Life-Like Proto-2000 SD-9 and based on prototype photos. Added details are cab (Cannon & Co.), all-weather window, cab wind deflector, cut-down short hood with new marker lights, headlights, sand filler lids, roof flasher, horn, "saddle" engine air filter, grab irons, handrails (Smokey Valley brass stanchions soldered to brass wire), coupler cut bars, MU hoses, snowplow, MV lenses in headlights and marker lights and constant voltage lighting unit powering front headlight.
Lower half of sides, ends and nose painted orange. Roof, upper half of sides, ends and nose, lower sills, walkways, handrails, grab irons, pilots, frame, fuel tank and trucks painted black. MU hose ends and left cab window frame painted silver. Handrail ends and coupler cut bar ends painted white. Couplers painted rust. Lettered with Microscale decals with logo on panel attached below cab windows. Dimensions: 8" L x 1-3/8" W x 2-1/8" H, weight: 16 oz. Only one model available.
