Milwaukee Road EMD SD-45 Locomotive #12

The unpowered model is built from a Rail Power SD-45 body shell with scratchbuilt frame and fuel tank. Based on a prototype photo. Details added are cab (Cannon & Co.), sand filler lids, headlights, horn, roof flasher, radio antenna, lift rings, exhaust stack, brass dynamic brake and radiator fan housings, locomotive side number plate, all-weather window, windshield wipers, grab irons, handrails (Smokey Valley brass stanchions soldered to brass wire), MU cable connectors, MU hoses, coupler cut bars, snowplow, air tanks and piping, air filter, fuel tank details and MV headlight and marker light lenses. Trucks are Athearn, but not powered.

Lower 1/2 of sides, end and nose painted orange. Roof, upper 1/2 of sides, lower sill, handrails, grab irons, walkways, pilots, frame, fuel tank and trucks painted black. Handrail and coupler cut bar ends painted white. Left side window frame, windshield wipers, end of MU hoses and marker light bezels painted silver. Couplers painted rust. Lettered with Microscale decals with logo on plate attached below cab windows. Dimensions: 8-1/2" L x 1-3/8" W x 2-1/4" H, weight: 10 oz. Only one model available.
