Montana Rail Link EMD SD-45 Locomotive #356

The unpowered model is built from a Rail Power SD-45 body shell with scratchbuilt frame and fuel tank. Based on prototype photos. Added details are cab (Cannon & Co.), sand filler lids, cab sunshades, roof flasher, radio antenna, exhaust stack, horn, dynamic brake and radiator fan housings (brass), grab irons, handrails (Smokey Valley brass stanchions soldered to brass wire), headlights, pilot drop step, MU cable connectors and cables, MU hoses, coupler cut bars, snowplow (with grab irons), air tanks and piping, air filter and fuel tank details. Trucks are Athearn.

SIdes and end below radiator grilles, nose and handrails painted blue. Roof, upper section of sides and end, top of nose, lower sills, walkways, pilots, frame, fuel tank and trucks painted black. Flasher base, side window frames and MU hose ends painted silver. Handrail ends, coupler cut bar ends and grab irons on snowplow painted white. MU cable painted a pinkish color. Lettered with Microscale decals. Dimensions: 8-1/2" L x 1-3/8" W x 2-1/4" H, weight: 9 oz. Only one model available.
