BUILDING A BURLINGTON "PIONEER ZEPHY" IN HO SCALE: The Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad’s “Pioneer Zephyr was an iconic train, being the first diesel-electric powered passenger train. The video shows how to build one in HO scale using parts from Athearn “Blue Box” streamline passenger cars and an F-7A body shell. Scratchbuilding is also part of the construction using JTT corrugated siding and Evergreen strips and sheets. The train is powered. Video is 28 minutes long.
